OK, OK, OK...so it''s been seven months. I thought I would give up on it, but now since baby #2 is due next month, maybe I''ll make an effort for at least one more year. I didn''t even KNOW I was pregnant the last time I wrote an entry on this! Anyway, Kaylie is still a very busy, active and fun little girl. She tests her dad and I on a daily basis, just to make sure that rules haven''t changed. She throws her tantrums, but basically acts like every other normal "almost-two"-year old! Last weekend we moved her out of the crib and into her big-girl bed. She thinks it''s pretty cool and still calls for MaMa when she wakes up and is ready to get out of bed. I don''t think she realizes she can get out whenever she wants -- which is perfectly fine with me. There was absolutely no crying or difficulty whatsoever with the transition. She had even been sleeping in the new baby''s ROOM in the crib and is now back to her newly painted-pink room after a two-month absence, but it didn''t seem to bother her. The bedroom furniture we ordered from Conlin''s back in early November won''t be here until mid to late March, so we didn''t feel we could wait. So her mattresses are on the floor and it seems to work fine for now. Seriously, though...FIVE MONTHS to get furniture. I will never shop there again. ANYWAY.......Kaylie had her first haircut back in December even though she really didn''t need it. It''s now growing in a little more and partially curls over her ears. If I don''t dress her in pink people still think she''s a little boy, though. Oh well. Someday I''ll get to use the cute little barretts I have! Kaylie is very close to being potty-trained. She wore underpants for an entire morning two weeks ago without wetting herself. Maybe we''ll try again this weekend.
Anyway, all is well and pictures may come soon...maybe not ''til the new baby comes. We''ll see. She has defnitely changed since the last ones I posted almost a year ago! Crazy how fast time goes by.
